As  we approach the middle of the harvest season for our local fresh produce industry, we, the Imperial Valley Vegetable Growers Association, would like to thank our communities and partners that have endeavored with us to provide the safest, freshest, most nutritious fruit and vegetables to our nation.

Not only have our local growers adapted to the quickly changing world of food safety, but our partners have stepped p to meet the needs of this emerging issue.  Some of those partners have come from within the local agricultural industry, specifically from the livestock industry, who have proactively partnered with us to see that we meet the new food safety standards.  Together we have come up with proactive measures that decrease already low risks and increase the level of security that buyers feel when purchasing our products.
